YALE CLUB OF HOUSTON

Meet James H. Eberwine '78

'THE BRAIN INITIATIVE'

Greetings Yale Club members and alums:

You are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Ouisie's  Table  and meet fellow Yale alumnus Jim Eberwine '78.  Jim is the Elmer Holmes Bobst Professor of Pharmacology at the University of  Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  The Eberwine lab investigates how cells of the central nervous system communicate with one another at the molecular level.  His research has led to more than 200 patents and he is truly one of the outstanding minds in medicine.  We are thrilled he is coming to Houston in February and hope you will join us to give him a huge Texas welcome!  Scroll down the page a bit further to learn more about Jim and to register for the dinner/lecture.

Jim's topic will be 'The US Brain Initiative.'  He will speak to us about the massive government (5 billion dollar) effort to spur research in the neurosciences.  He will discuss the neuroscience progress that has been stimulated thus far by the Brain Initiative and what is hoped for over the coming 5 to 10 year time-frame.
