Who Will Take Care of Us When We Are Old?
A health care discussion with Dr. Cliff Dacso

The demographics are compelling; the world is aging. Ask your kids, “Will you take care of me when I’m old?”  The “sandwich generation” is feeling it right now. What is the future of medicine and medical care? Dr. Cliff Dacso provides a glimpse into this future. Maybe it’s not apocalyptic after all.  Don’t miss this opportunity to join fellow alumni for a lively discussion and to check out the cutting-edge facilities of the BioScience Research Collaborative Building on the Rice University campus.

Dr. Cliff Dacso holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, a Doctor of Medicine degree, residency and infectious diseases fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine, a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. Past positions include professor and vice chairman of the Department of Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Dacso has written a number of scholarly articles, is co-author of The Managed Care Answer Book (five editions) and The Risk Contracting and Capitation Answer Book, and is the creator of Now That You Have Cancer, a video that is designed to empower cancer patients and their families. Dr. Dacso is board certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases and geriatric medicine.
